Performance, two acts

Premiere – 29th October, 2026

The French classic’s exploration of a human archetype born in neighbouring Spain – the Don Juan, an individual driven by pleasure, passion and scepticism – invites today’s audience to reflect on the inevitable course of the world towards the colourful chaos in which we all live. Some embrace the acceleration of time and perpetual motion, while others look on with fear, wondering where the world is heading and where it is taking us all.

The return to Latvia of an outstanding Bulgarian director, making his debut on the stage of the Latvian National Theatre with an equally colourful large-scale production that offers plenty of food for thought.

This production contains nudity. To protect the privacy and safety of the performers, filming and photography during the performance are strictly prohibited.
