Performance, two acts
Premiere – 23rd April, 2015
During the 20th century, French playwright Jean Anouilh offered to take a fresh look at old myths and Greek tragedies to test their viability in the modern world: Antigone is ready to stand up to ruler Chorus, who does not grant an honorary burial to her brother slain on the battlefield. She is ready to risk her life for what is right. Do the laws of the heart still have a place in the 21st century? And when are they relevant?
